As the largest institutional shareholder in Diodes, Lite-On Semiconductor said it remains open to disposing of shares of the company in order to boost profits, according to Lite-On Semiconductor general manager CC Chen as cited by a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.

Diodes has been named among "America's 200 Best Small Companies" by Forbes in October for the fourth consecutive year, ranking 16th overall and second in five-year earnings per share (EPS) growth .

Chen was cited by the Commercial Times as saying that Lite-On now holds about a 22% stake in Diodes with a profit face value of about NT$9.4 billion (US$287.6 million), which translates into an EPS contribution of NT$20 if Lite-On completely disposes of its stake in Diodes. He said Lite-On remains open to releasing its shares in Diodes without hurting the relationship of both parties as the stock price of Diodes has remained high recently.
