Taiwan-based Ligitek Electronics' photovoltaic (PV) module making subsidiary has received considerable orders from a Swiss distributor, who has also expressed the hope of acquiring a 10-20% stake in the subsidiary, according to the Economic Daily News (EDN). The paper did not identify the client.
The PV module maker has shipped six containers of products, worth NT$60 million (US$1.82 million) to the Swiss distributor in September, and the client has also requested another batch of PV modules totaling 1MWp to be sent to Germany by October 5, the paper said, adding that Ligitek's consolidated revenues for September are expected to hit a record of NT$160-200 million.
