UMC affiliate to volume produce thin-film solar cells in 2008, says paper

NexPower Technology, a 40% UMC Capital held affiliate, announced it will invest NT$2 billion (US$60 million) to establish a thin-film solar cell production line, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.
