VIS buys Winbond fab (Update)

Vanguard International Semiconductor (VIS) announced through a filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) on March 22 that the company is purchasing Winbond Electronics' s 8-inch fab, confirming months of speculation about the deal.
