Falling USB controller chip prices has Silicon Motion looking to China for production

Taiwan-based IC design house Silicon Motion is in talks with China-based Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) for the production of USB flash drive controller ICs on 0.18 node, according to industry sources.
