Samsung Corning to roll out FFL backlight units for 40-inch-range TVs

Having developed flat fluorescent lamp (FFL) backlight units (BLUs) for 32-inch LCD TVs, Samsung Corning plans to start volume producing FFL BLUs for 40- and 46-inch TVs soon, the company said.
