Silicon Motion controller IC incompatibility issue involved in Lexar NAND flash disk recall

With Lexar Media recently recalling its JumpDrive NAND flash disk drive, industry sources have indicated that Silicon Motion, the controller IC supplier, bears the major responsibility due to a burn hazard caused from controller IC compatibility.
