Acer estimates its full-year consolidated revenues in 2005 will reach NT$316.8 billion (US$9.65 billion), up 41% from 2004 or exceeding the 2005 target of NT$283.6 billion (US$8.64 billion) by 12%, according to the company.

The PC vendor posted consolidated revenues of NT$23.6 billion (US$718.75 million) in December 2005, a 19% growth from NT$19.9 billion (US$606.06 million) during December 2004. Its consolidated revenues for the fourth quarter of last year totaled NT$102.7 billion (US$3.13 billion), up 45% from the previous year's NT$70.9 billion (US$2.16 billion).

For 2006, Acer anticipates its consolidated revenues will reach NT$400 billion (US$12.42 billion) and have full-year profits after tax (PAT) of NT$10 billion (US$310.56 million).

In related news, Acer announced on January 7 that the TravelMate 8200 and five-series LCD monitors (AL1751/AL1951/AL2051W) have won the 2006 iF (International Forum) awards for product design.

The TravelMate 8200 is Acer's flagship commercial notebook, which is powered by Intel’s Centrino Duo mobile technology and supports GDDR3 memory, according to the company. Featuring a 15.4-inch widescreen display and carbon fiber cover, the TravelMate 8200 integrates a 1.3-megapixel CMOS web camera, whose 225-degree rotation means users can take photos of objects behind the notebook cover without turning the notebook around, said the company. The five-series LCD monitors, available in 17-, 19- and 20-inch widescreens, all have 8ms response time, said Acer.
