ITRI debuts 42-inch LCD TV using LED backlighting

Opto-Electronics & Systems (OES) Laboratories under the government-sponsored Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) on December 14 demonstrated a 42-inch LCD TV that used LED backlighting, with each LED delivering 25 lumen per watt.
