Nikon announced the availability in Taiwan yesterday of two compact digital still cameras (DSCs) which feature WiFi capability. The 8.0-megapixel Coolpix P1 model is priced at about NT$16,990 (US$510) and the suggested price for the 5.1-megpixel Coolpix P2 is NT$14,590 (US$440).
In 2005, Nikon is looking to grab 15-20% of the Taiwan DSC market, up from 12% last year, according to its local distributor, Lin Trading.
