Samsung Electronics, which has a global sales goal of five million MP3 players in 2005, expects to sell 100,000 units in the Taiwan market this year, according to director SM Hong of Samsung Electronics Taiwan.

About 50% of the company’s MP3 players are sold in South Korea and China, with the US and Europe trailing after that, Hong indicated. For the Taiwan market, Samsung plans to launch 10 new models by the end of the year.
