UMC slashes photomask prices on advanced processes

With help from United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC), clients at the Taiwanese foundry now enjoy photomask prices that are about 20% lower than quotes offered by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), according to sources.
