Hitachi to reopen Yamanashi LCD driver IC factory

Hitachi plans to reopen its Yamanashi Prefecture-based 8-inch fab for LCD driver IC production in August, according to recent Bloomberg and Dow Jones reports. The factory has a capacity of processing 3,000 8-inch wafers monthly.
