Taiwan industry sources recently reported that an unnamed international game console producer, probably either Tiger or Radicca, has placed a large order with RiTdisplay for monochrome OLEDs (organic light-emitting diodes) and RiTdisplay is scheduled to complete the shipments this quarter. RiTdisplay has not denied the report.
RiTdisplay has already placed an order with Princeton Technology for 120,000 game console panel driver ICs, with shipments scheduled for February and March.
Furthermore, RiTdisplay also received an order for several thousand mobile phone monochrome OLEDs from Dbtel Technology, to be shipped before the February 9-15 Chinese New Year holiday.
RiTdisplay currently operates one monochrome OLED production line of 25,000 370×470mm-substrate monthly production capacity and recently began trial production of a full-color test line of 3,000 200×200mm-substrate monthly capacity. Furthermore, the company is scheduled to complete equipment installation for a color OLED/PLED (organic light-emitting diode/polymer-OLED) mixed production line of a respective 50,000 and 35,000 370×470mm substrate monthly capacity in the second quarter and begin volume production in the third quarter.
