As US promotes cyber trust label, smart home IoT device costs may rise

Taiwan shares AIoT tech for disaster preparedness at APEC conference
Typhoon Doksuri has brought heavy rainfall to northern China over the past two weeks, causing at least 20 deaths and affecting millions stuck in the resultant floods in the suburban areas south of Beijing. But the same typhoon only caused relatively minor damage of NTD230 million (US$7.41 million) to Taiwan, thanks to the Taiwan government's decisive preparedness measures based on the monitoring information provided by the Civil IoT Taiwan platform.

Worldwide spending on the Internet of things (IoT) is forecast to be US$805.7 billion in 2023, an increase of 10.6% over 2022, according to a new IDC Worldwide Internet of Things Spending Guide. Investments in the IoT ecosystem are expected to surpass US$1 trillion in 2026 with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.4% over the 2023–2027 forecast period.

Baidu to integrate AIGC into its app, cloud and search services
Baidu announced that it is launching an upgraded version of Ernie Bot 3.0 (Wen Xin Yi Yan) in March, 2023.
