Taiwan market: First trial HDTV broadcast kicks off

Public Television Service (PTS), a government-sponsored non-profit terrestrial TV broadcaster, on May 15 started the broadcasting of HiHD, the first HD (high-definition) digital TV channel in Taiwan, on a trial basis, according to PTS.
