Tongtai swings to US$28 million loss as machine tool demand slumps

Taiwanese machine tool maker Tongtai Machine & Tool Co. posted a net loss of NT$910 million (US$28 million) in 2024 as manufacturing sector inventory adjustments weighed on demand, the company said at its annual shareholder meeting Friday.
