Wistron Corporation reported a record-high monthly revenue in May, exceeding NT$200 billion (US$6.68 billion) for the first time, fueled by robust demand for AI servers. The company expects AI server shipments to sustain triple-digit sequential growth throughout the second quarter, with volumes increasing steadily month over month. Wistron is a major supplier of mainboards for Nvidia's AI accelerators.
Following a strong earnings release, Nvidia said during its investor call that shipments of its next-generation Blackwell GPUs are ramping steadily. The GB200 is now shipping at scale, while the GB300 system has entered testing with key hyperscale cloud providers. Nvidia expects volume shipments of the GB300 to begin later in the second quarter of fiscal 2025.
Nvidia's accelerating AI hardware cycle continues to propel Wistron's topline performance. The Taiwanese electronics manufacturer generated NT$208.41 billion in revenue for May, up 55.87% from April and 162% from a year earlier—a new all-time monthly high. Revenue for the January–May period reached NT$688.59 billion, representing a 76.39% year-on-year increase.
In May, Wistron shipped 1.8 million notebook PCs, marking a 5.88% increase both month-over-month and year-over-year. Desktop PC shipments rose to 1.1 million units, up 46.67% from the previous month and 37.5% from the same period last year. Monitor shipments totaled 750,000 units, up 7.14% from April but down 6.25% compared to May 2024.
