According to DIGITIMES statistics, there were about 5.34 million public chargers in more than 30 countries in 2024, with more than 90% of them in the top-8 countries in terms of installations, including China, South Korea, and the US.
The number of public chargers in the world increased by 1.298 million in 2024 compared to 2023. Looking ahead to 2025, DIGITIMES estimates that the total number of public chargers in China, the EU, and the US will reach 5.81 million.
China and the EU will continue to expand their charging infrastructures, but in the US, the measures taken by President Donald Trump will affect the promotion of local charging infrastructure.
