Renesas to purchase PCB design software company Altium for US$5.9 billion

Japan-based semiconductor company Renesas announced on February 15 that it will acquire US-headquartered Altium, which focuses on developing electronics design systems. Renesas will buy Altium for AUD9.1 billion (US$5.91 billion).
