Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is in Taiwan for a week, and his only public engagement is tomorrow's (October 18) Hon Hai Tech Day (HHTD), according to sources familiar with the matter.

Huang will be the featured guest for the HHTD's opening. Alongside Hon Hai (Foxconn) chairman Young Liu, Huang will offer a blueprint vision for both companies' partnership in AI, electric vehicles, and other industries, the sources indicated.

Foxconn has had a close partnership with Nvidia for many years. The contract electronics manufacturer is also a part of the supply chain for servers, cabinets, modules, substrates, and motherboards that use Nvidia's latest AI GPUs.

According to the sources, Huang's one-week tour will also include meetings with TSMC and other local Taiwanese partners such as Quanta Computer and Gigabyte Technology.

While the supply of Nvidia's popular AI GPUs is expected to be at the forefront of Huang's negotiations with Nvidia's ODM partners, his meeting with TSMC's top executives will be surrounded by the foundry's capacity support particularly the available CoWoS packaging manufacturing capacity, the sources said.
