Xiaomi second-biggest smartphone brand in Vietnam 1Q22

In the first quarter of 2022, Xiaomi secured a 22% share in Vietnam's smartphone market, becoming its second-largest, according to VIR citing Canalys' latest report.

According to Canalys, Xiaomi's smartphone shipments in Vietnam grew the most in the first quarter this year, compared to the same period in 2021.

Xiaomi Vietnam said it will focus on bringing high-end smartphones to Vietnam. This year, it has launched its flagship model Redmi Note 11 in Vietnam.

The China-based vendor reported a 67% on-year increase in shipments in Vietnam in first-quater 2022, indicating its supply chain stability and capability to satisfy end-demand.

Xiaomi is expanding its presence in Vietnam's AIoT market by launching Redmi Buds 3, Buds 3T Pro, Xiaomi Watch S1 and S1 Active, Mi Robot, and Vacuum-Mop 2. It also collaborates with more retail channels including Digiworld, Synnex FPT, Lazada, and Shopee to increase sales.
