Reliance aims to be world's top blue hydrogen producer
In a push for ecological friendliness announced in 2021, Reliance said that it is planning to produce blue hydrogen in its Jamnagar plant, Gujarat, for US$1.2 to US$1.5 per kilogram until the cost of green hydrogen comes down, according to Reuters.

India bans import of foreign drones to develop local supply chain
To reduce reliance on foreign drones and develop a local manufacturing ecosystem, Directorate General of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India released a notification banning the import of drones regardless of whether they are CBU (completely built unit), CKD (completely knocked down), or SKD (semi-knocked down) and allowing free import of drone components.
Reliance continues spending spree in green push
The Economic Times reported that Reliance Industries announced that its newly established Reliance New Energy Solar completed the acquisition of a 40 percent stake of renewable EPC contractor Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy. Reliance New Energy Solar will also acquire Indian EV startup Altigreen Propulsion Labs, and the transaction is to be completed by March.
