Power supply maker and energy management solution provider Delta Electronics has disclosed it will distribute a cash dividend per share of NT$5.50 (US$0.20) for 2020.

Delta posted consolidated revenues of NT$78.553 billion, gross margin of 31.09%, operating profit of NT$9.773 billion, net profit of NT$7.431 billion and net EPS of NT$2.86 for fourth-quarter 2020; and 2020 consolidated revenues reached NT$282.606 billion, with gross margin of 30.86%, operating profit of NT$31.426 billion, net profit of NT$25.485 billion and net EPS of NT$9.81.

Power supplies and related components accounted for 56.3% of the fourth-quarter 2020 consolidated revenues; devices for ICT and energy infrastructure, 30.9%; and devices for industrial and building automation, 12.8%, Delta said.

Components for electric vehicles (EV) are expected to grow the most in 2021 sales, company chairman Yancey Hai said at a February 25 investors conference. However, the business scale for such components is not yet large enough, and Delta aims to reach break-even for the segment in two years, Hai noted.

Delta's capex reached NT$17.8 billion in 2020 and plans to set aside a capex budget of over NT$20 billion in 2021 mainly for expanding production capacities in Taiwan, Thailand, China and India.

In India, Delta is building four factories, two of them likely to be completed in second-quarter 2021.
