EMS provider Qisda is making efforts to develop AIoT smart solutions for retail operations through cooperation with partners, according to the company.

Development of smart retail operations is working towards personalized services, automatic process and social group-based marketing, said Tseng Wen-hsin, president for BenQ Guru, a Qisda's affiliate and partner, at a recent forum.

Based on consumer analyses, retail operators can make personalized recommendations for consumers to enhance marketing, Tseng said.

The entire shopping process from search for merchandise items, purchase negotiation and arrangement, to decision on purchase and delivery should be automatic to let consumers experience smoothness, Tseng noted. Division of consumers into groups is not only by age and sex but also by social groups they belong to, especially how opinion leaders of social groups influence their purchasing behavior, Tseng indicated.

Besides BenQ Guru, Qisda's main partners in development of AIoT-based smart retail solutions include affiliated BenQ ESCO, industrial PC maker DFI, POS device maker Partner Tech, and POS-use software provider La fresh Information. Qisda has made stake investment in DFI, Partner Tech and La fresh for the partnership.
