Pegatron has been seeking new production bases in Southeast Asia countries, including Indonesia and Vietnam, and will cooperate with local partners to tap into the region, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News report citing company chairman TH Tung.
However, the expansion into Southeast Asia will only have limited influence to its overall operation in the meantime, as it more of testing the water, noted Tung, adding that he expects to see some progress in the first half of 2019.
