Innolux is expanding its workforce as it is enhancing its deployment in the high-end display systems, automotive panel and smart retailing sectors, according to company HR department chief Chang Jen-yung.
The company will initiate a recruitment plan in October-November aiming to hire over 100 employees, and will utilize an in-house-developed smart HR system that can match personnel with specific jobs with assistance of AI and big data applications, Chang said.
In line with the ongoing developments of autonomous driving and IoV technologies, the automotive panel industry is also growing fast, with in-car entertainment systems becoming a standard for self-driving automobiles, Chang indicated.
Innolux also plans to dispatch its employees to a number of key universities in Germany to pursue graduate studies, and then these employees will stay in the Netherlands to learn more about European-based car makers so as to gain practical experience and access to the latest market information, Chang added.
Meanwhile, Innolux expects its developments of high-end display systems including complete TV sets and public information display (PID) products to enter a fast-growth phase in 2019-2020, and therefore, the company needs a variety of personnel, including those for optoelectronics manufacturing, system integration, equipment manufacturing and marketing.
In response to the ongoing Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing trend, the company is also cultivating data scientists with strong background in mathematics and statistics, Chang added.
