Optical component and module maker Young Optics has posted net operating loss of NT$20.4 million (US$648,000) for third-quarter 2016, suffering net operating losses for three consecutive quarters.
Young Optics recorded consolidated revenues of NT$991.9 million, gross margin of 24.61%, net loss of NT$29.7 million and net loss per share of NT$0.25 for the third quarter. For January-September, the company posted consolidated revenues of NT$2.945 billion, gross margin of 22.29%, net operating loss of NT$145.8 million, net loss of NT$175.0 million and net loss per share of NT$1.51.
Young Optics expects fourth-quarter shipments of pico-projection and industrial optical modules to increase on quarter, those of projection optical components to decrease and those of ultra-short-throw engines and imaging optical components to remain unchanged.
