Industrial-use touch panel maker Transtouch Technology has expanded its production lines to include capacitive touch panels for consumer electronics products and has recently received verification from Motorola Mobility for its handset-use touch panels, according to industry sources.

While beginning to roll out capacitive touch panels in 7- and 10.1-inch sizes, Transtouch also offers a complete lineup of resistive touch panels from 2- to 17-inch sizes.

Transtouch posted revenues of NT$80 million (US$2.76 million) in May, up 8.1% sequentially. Accumulated revenues for the January-May period totaled NT$362 million, decreasing 8% on year.

However, the company posted a loss of NT$0.33 per share in the first quarter of 2011, affected by its migration of some of its production lines from resistive to capacitive touch panel models, said the sources.
