VIS expects higher 2Q10 shipments; set to exit memory foundry business

Specialty IC foundry Vanguard International Semiconductor (VIS) saw total wafer shipments in the first quarter of 2010 increase 24% sequentially, while capacity utilization rate grew from 56% to 76%.
