Japan-based Seiko Epson first introduced its innovative application products to the Taiwan market in 2009 and only generated revenues of NT$1 million (US$31,456) from these new products last year, but it expects sales from the segment to hike to NT$21 million in 2010, NT$3 billion in 2013 and NT$5 billion in 2015, according to its Taiwan marketing subsidiary Epson Taiwan Technology & Trading.
Epson's innovative application products mainly consist of three categories - industrial automation equipment including mechanical arms; industrial and business-use digital printing; and health-care devices such, Epson Taiwan indicated.
