Opto Tech invests in Nichia, targets notebook LED BLU market

Taiwan-based LED maker Opto Tech purchased NT$379 million (US$11.5 million) worth of Nichia's shares in order to further develop the market for notebook-use LED backlighting, according to company vice president Dean Chang.
