Cleanroom and turnkey equipment supplier Acter has enjoyed strong orders for new fab constructions from China's IC manufacturing, packaging and testing, and optoelectronics sectors, according to the Taiwan-based company.

Acter has seen orders placed by its China-based clients account for 60% of the company's overall revenues since the start of 2018, said the cleanroom equipment specialist.

Strong government support is encouraging China's companies engaged in the production of ICs, optoelectronic devices and LCD panels to build additional production capacities, Acter indicated. Driven by robust demand from China, Acter's business outlook for 2018 is bullish, the company added.

Acter reported consolidated revenues of NT$1.05 billion (US$36 million) for January 2018, up 30.1% from a year ago. The results were also relatively high compared to those generated usually during the same period in previous years.

Acter posted revenues of NT$11.44 billion in 2017, up 36.1% on year.
