Primax Electronics has reported net profits of NT$558 million (US$19.11million) for the fourth quarter of 2017 and NT$2.057 billion for all of 2017.
The earnings translated into an EPS of NT$1.27 for the October-December period and NT$4.67 for the entire year of 2017.
Primax is expected to see its revenues increase by a double-digit rate in 2018, powered by its acoustic products, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News report.
While acoustic products are likely to account for 40% of Primax's total revenues in 2018, the company's sales of camera modules will remain strong in the year due to increasing demand for dual-lens models and steady orders from China-based smartphone vendors including Xiaomi Technology, Oppo and Vivo, said the report.
The company posted revenues of NT$4.816 billion in January, down 11.7% on month but up 12.76% on year.
