LCD TV makers strive to meet Energy Star standards for competitiveness

As the 4.0 and 5.0 versions under the Energy Star TV/VCR Program will come into effect on May 2010 and May 2012 respectively, LCD TV makers are making efforts to minimize power consumption in their systems, according to Taiwan-based makers.
