Taiwan's LCD TV shipments grew 8.6% sequentially in the second quarter of 2009, as channel distributors began to replenish inventory. Inventory in the channel fell below its normal level in the first quarter. China's stimulus program for rural areas played a significant role in Taiwan's shipment growth in the second quarter. LCD TV makers saw an influx of rush orders in April and May. |
