AUO to start LED-backlit LCM volume production in China in 2H10, says vice chairman

AU Optronics (AUO) vice chairman HB Chen has revealed that AUO will start volume production of LED-backlit LCD modules (LCMs) at its joint ventures (JVs) in China in the second half of 2010 to meet surging demand for LED-backlit TVs.
