UMC receives South Korean LCD driver IC orders, Fab 8A reaching 100% utilization

United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) recently received a South Korean IC design company’s TFT LCD driver IC orders for an amount equivalent to 8,000 8-inch wafers per month, according to Taiwanese IC design companies.
