AUO: LCD TV segment to account for about 50% of TV sales in 2009

Taiwan-based TFT LCD panel maker AU Optronics (AUO) expects global LCD TV demand to reach 108 million units in four years, and account for nearly 50% of overall TV demand, according to the company.
