Kingston Digital Europe, an affiliate of Kingston Technology, has announced the latest addition to the SSDNow family of solid-state drives (SSD). The new Kingston SSDNow V100 SSD is designed for mainstream consumers.

The Kingston SSDNow V100 expands the SSDNow line with the addition of a 256GB capacity drive for consumers. Also available in 64GB and 128GB capacities, the SSDNow V100 has Windows 7 TRIM support and features an optimized controller and advanced NAND flash technology for increased read and write performance, said the vendor.

The Kingston SSDNow V100 is shipping as either a stand-alone unit or as an upgrade bundle kit.
