Gemtek's WUWBD-101 wireless USB dongle

Taiwan-based wireless solutions provider Gemtek Technology on October 16 announced its new wireless USB dongle at the regional Intel Developer Forum (IDF) conference in Taipei.

Called the WUWBD-101, the dongle utilizes the Intel Wireless UWB Link 1480 media access control (MAC) layer controller along with the AL4100 radio frequency (RF) transceiver and the AL4200 baseband processor from Alereon.
