Taiwan's IPC industry suffered a minor on-year decline in overall 2023 revenues, but the amount is expected to pick up in 2024 to arrive at above NT$300 billion.
Abstract

Affected by the overall global economic situation in 2023, Taiwanese industrial PC (IPC) manufacturers saw high inventory levels among their downstream customers. DIGITIMES Research estimates that the total revenue of Taiwanese IPC manufacturers in 2023 reached NT$283.66 billion (US$8.66 billion) for an annual decrease of 1.3%, a relatively weak performance.

However, looking forward to 2024, most IPC companies are cautiously optimistic and expect the IPC market to recover in the second half of 2024. DIGITIMES Research estimates that Taiwanese IPC firms will achieve revenue growth of 8.8% in 2024 to reach NT$308.7 billion.

In recent years, the IPC market has benefited from growth driven by digital transformation in manufacturing, transportation and other industries. Edge computing, machine vision and energy management have become new market segments for which IPC makers are actively making deployments.
