Intel CULV platform to help push LED-backlit notebook penetration to 70-80% in 2009

The launch of CULV (consumer ultra low voltage) ultra-thin notebooks is expected to boost the penetration rate of LED-backlit notebooks to 70-80% at the end of 2009 from 40% in early 2009, according to Taiwan backlight unit (BLU) makers.
