Transcend Information recently announced its new shock-resistant high capacity portable hard drive, the StoreJet 25 mobile.

The new StoreJet 25 mobile weighs 206g, measures 134×80.8×18.8mm in size and meets US military drop-test standards (MIL-STD-810F - Transit Drop) with advanced two-stage anti-shock technology, according to Transcend. The portable hard drive uses a USB 2.0 interface.

Transcend's StoreJet 25 mobile supports Windows 2000/XP/Vista, Mac OS 9.0 or later, and Linux Kernel 2.4.2 or later.

The StoreJet 25 mobile is available now in 160GB and 250GB capacities, at recommended pre-tax list prices of US$135 and US$196, respectively.
