Hynix announces availability of 4,096-color OLED driver IC for mobile handset sub-displays

Hynix Semiconductor today announced that next month it will begin volume production of a driver IC that supports 4,096-color, 96×64-pixel resolution, passive-matrix (PM) OLED (organic light-emitting diode) sub-displays for mobile handsets.
