Acer announced its consolidated revenue for March 2024. It reached NT$27.482 billion (approx. US$855 million), a 70.5% monthly and a 13.8% annual increase.
With the stimulation from AI applications and healthy retail channel inventory management, monthly revenue has seen year-on-year growth for nine consecutive months. Consolidated revenue for the first quarter reached NT$58.828 billion, marking a 12.1% year-on-year increase.
Operational highlights include a 10.7% year-on-year increase in revenue for notebooks in the first quarter, a 12.3% year-on-year increase for desktop PCs, a 9.5% year-on-year increase for gaming products, and a 10.1% year-on-year increase for Chromebooks.
Acer's strategy of establishing multiple business engines continues to bear fruit, with non-PC and display-related businesses accounting for 29.4% of revenue in the first quarter. Acer subsidiaries have all disclosed their March and first-quarter revenue figures.
As for emerging businesses in incubation, Altos Technology, which focuses on AI servers and workstations, saw a 63.5% year-on-year increase in revenue in the first quarter. Home appliance manufacturer Acerpure saw an 11.8% year-on-year increase, while smart traffic solutions provider Acer ITS saw a 44.0% increase in the first quarter
