Taiwan-based chassis maker Catcher Technology has announced consolidated revenues of NT$7.19 billion (US$219.81 million) for August, up 15.2% on month and 43.6% on year. Market watchers believe orders for the upcoming new iPhone was the main driver for Catcher's strong revenue growth.

Catcher's combined consolidated revenues for the first eight months of 2015 were NT$50.95 billion, up 52.6% on year. The market watchers expect Catcher's third-quarter revenues to grow by a single-digit percentage sequentially and will reach the year's peak in the fourth quarter.

Apple is ready to announce its new products on September 9 and the new iPhone is expected to be among them. Catcher has used new materials for the iPhone's chassis to strengthen its sturdiness in order to avoid the bending issues that the iPhone 6 Plus has seen.
