Hitron looks to ship 1.8 million cable modems in 2009

Taiwan-based network equipment maker Hitron Technologies expects its shipments of cable modems, including DOCSIS 3.0-compatible models, to top 1.8 million units in 2009, an increase of 70% from 2008, according to the company.
