Leadtek launches entry-level graphics card with dual-link DVI-I output and passive heatsink

Leadtek Research launched its WinFast PX8400 GS TDH Silent entry-level graphics card. The new card, with a passive heatsink design and dual-link DVI-I output, supports a resolution of up to 2560×1600 at 32-bit, according to the company.

Based on new 80nm technology and powered by a Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS graphics processing unit, the WinFast PX8400 GS TDH Silent comes with 256MB of video memory, DDR2 and a GPU/ Shader clock with memory of 459/900 MHz.

The WinFast PX8400 GS TDH Silent features Nvidia PureVideo HD technology to provide smooth video, accurate color, and lifelike image scaling for movies and videos. It also enables playback of HD DVD, Blu-ray Disc and other protected content at full HD resolutions with integrated High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) support.

The WinFast PX8400 GS TDH Silent has a suggested retail price of US$70, according to the company.
