Taiwan’s motherboard industry has gone through a process of concentration and refinement in the past few years. While in 2004-2005 the number of players in the industry totaled over 20 companies, this figure dropped significantly by 2006, with the market being dominated by four top makers Asustek Computer, Micro-Star International (MSI), Gigabyte Technology and Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS).
